Our care homes are supporting people to be timely discharged from hospital

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is taking part in a Scottish Government pilot to reduce the number of people who are waiting to move from hospital wards to more appropriate settings.

Nobody wants to remain in hospital any longer than they need to. Any delay in discharge can have a detrimental effect on a person’s health and wellbeing.  Delays can occur for a variety of reasons but are usually due to a lack of appropriate care or services available within the community.

GCHSCP Facing the Future Staff Awards 2017

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s Facing the Future Together (FTFT) Staff Awards ceremony took place on the morning of 12 September at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The Awards recognise and thank individual staff and teams within the Partnership for ‘going the extra mile’ in their work within a number of categories, especially in situations when they or their service have been under additional pressure or when they have implemented an improvement idea that has yielded significant benefit.

Glasgow City HSCP Response to HMP Low Moss Inspection Report

David Williams, Chief Officer, Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) said: “We are pleased to note that the report acknowledges the work undertaken to address the recommendations made following their 2013 inspection. There has been significant financial investment in this service over the past year.

Smokefree Services Working Together

Community Smokefree and Pharmacy Smokefree Services have been working together across Glasgow City to run specialist stop smoking clinics within priority neighbourhood areas for health improvement, which have traditionally high footfall for smoking cessation services but low quit rates.

Participation and Engagement Strategy

Glasgow City Integration Joint Board’s Participation and Engagement Strategy are now available.

The Participation and Engagement Strategy was approved by the Integration Joint Board on 23 September 2020 following a period of review and consultation activity in 2019 and early 2020.
