New video explains vaccinations for young people
Glasgow City HSCP hosts childhood immunisations on behalf of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), which includes pre-school age and school-aged immunisations.
Young Scot along with NHS Inform have developed a video called Vaccines for Young People to help people understand more about school-aged immunisations. The video features Lynda Doherty, a NHSGGC Childhood Immunisation Nurse Coordinator being interviewed by two young people in S1 and S3 about the vaccinations offered within secondary school.
What’s at Stake - raising awareness of gambling harms
A new resource that raises awareness of gambling harms for people living in Glasgow is now available.
Gambling harms is an emerging public health issue and has been identified as a priority in Glasgow and at a national level. The resource, ‘What's at Stake: Glasgow's Stories of Gambling Harms and Recovery’, is a collection of fully anonymised composite stories and posters. These reflect the realities and experiences of gambling exposure, participation, risks and harms for people who live in Glasgow.
Parkhead Hub: Community Benefits
A partnership group has met regularly to plan, implement and coordinate wide-ranging community initiatives over the Hub’s construction phase and beyond. It includes Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), Hub West Scotland, BAM Construction and community representation.

Michelle shortlisted for a Global Women in Healthcare Award
Huge congratulations to Michelle Guthrie, Health Improvement Senior, from the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) Mental Health Improvement Team, hosted by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP). Michelle was recently shortlisted for a national Global Women in Healthcare Award.
Working together to ensure the sustainability of General Practice
In Glasgow City we have 140 GP surgeries, hosting around 617 GPs, in addition to other clinical staff, caring for 791,000 registered patients. Each GP surgery has a Practice Manager who is vital to the successful running of the surgery. They manage the business aspect of the surgery, making sure that patients are at the centre of the surgery's operations.
New report highlights health improvement work with young people in north west Glasgow
A new report capturing some of the breadth of work being delivered by members of the North West Youth Network (NWYN) is now available.
This first North West Youth Network (NWYN) Celebration Report covers 2023 and gathers feedback from both members and young people. This will help inform the work of the Network in 2024.
