Our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Health Improvement staff in the North East Locality hosted a community event celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) in the Parkhead Hub on 9 March 2026.

The event highlighted some of the services, support and opportunities available to women locally, while also celebrating the achievements and experiences of women across Glasgow.

Representatives from Glasgow Life, GEMAP Financially Included and the GAMH North East Carers also hosted stalls and engaged with attendees.

Bespoke Atelier, a design company based in Bridgeton, recently won a two -stage competition to create new artworks for the entrance and children’s area of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) new Parkhead Health and Social Care Hub. 

For the entrance area, they'll create a large scale illuminated wall panel that will welcome visitors on arrival to the Hub. The design will celebrate the rich textile and weaving heritage of the local area whilst reflecting the scale and ambition of the new Parkhead Hub itself.

Parkhead Hub welcomes local community to first networking day

Parkhead Hub’s first community networking event was declared a roaring success by staff and the public who attended the event on 22 May. The new Hub welcomed local families and organisations to come together to see the breadth of Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and local community services, available in the east area of Glasgow.
