Faster treatment for care home residents across Glasgow

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Care Home Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Team has made a real difference to how urgent care is delivered in residential care homes.

The team can now give the first dose of antibiotics at the point of assessment, rather than waiting for treatment to start later. This means residents get the care they need more quickly and avoids unnecessary delays.

Project SEARCH: Supporting young people into meaningful employment and to live more independently within their communities

Project SEARCH is an innovative work based learning programme for young adults aged 18 to 29 with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions. The programme combines real workplace experience with training in employability and independent living skills, with the goal of helping participants gain and sustain meaningful employment and live more independently within their communities.

Item No 12 - Strategic Plan Monitoring Report April 2026

The purpose of this report is to present the Strategic Plan Monitoring Report, updating Members on progress with implementation of the Strategic Plan 2023-26.

Tackling vaping among children and young people

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) staff have been recognised at this year’s NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s (NHSGGC) Public Health Staff Awards.

Our HSCP Health Improvement Team staff member Cara Stirling was honoured alongside her NHSGGC colleagues, with the group winning the Creativity in Problem Solving Award for their innovative work in developing video resources to tackle vaping among children and young people.

Item No 13 - Inspection and Audit Reporting Routes

This report provides an update to the IJB Finance Audit and Scrutiny Committee (FASC) regarding an open Rolling Action to provide assurance that inspections and other third line functions are reported to FASC to ensure the Committee has oversight of any recommendations and requirements.
