Glasgow's Safer Drug Consumption Facility is called 'The Thistle' and opened on Monday 13 January 2025.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) and other partners have worked to develop the first Safer Drug Consumption Facility (SDCF) in Scotland and the United Kingdom.

It’s been a busy summer at Parkhead Hub. You can watch a video of our community day, held in May. We were also delighted to be named Project of the Year – New Build UK at the 2025 Design in Mental Health Awards. This award recognised the Hub’s innovative design and outstanding contribution to community mental health care.
