Young People Learn About a Career in our HSCP’s Homecare Services
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Social Work Learning and Development staff support young people interested in a career in care by providing care induction training. This is part of an employability programme run with Action for Children and the Social Work Housing and Employment Service Continuing Care and Aftercare Service.

Community Assessment Centres (CACs) – A Vital Tool In Our COVID-19 Armoury
One of the first major responses to the COVID-19 pandemic has also proven to be one of the most effective, providing vital frontline support for thousands of patients, and protecting the health service from being overwhelmed by the virus.
Community Assessment Centres (CACs) first appeared in March 2020 – rapidly set up across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to help manage the flow of suspected COVID-19 patients into the health service.
New Project to help Children Thrive Launched
Local networks to help children under five years of age and their families to eat healthily and maintain a healthy weight are being set up now across three neighbourhoods in Glasgow.
The two-year ‘Thrive Under 5’ project is an exciting early intervention programme that aims to enable a healthy weight in the early years (pre-five years) using a wider child poverty perspective.
