Glasgow City HSCP Staff Awards for Excellence 2022 - Winners and Commendations
Glasgow City HSCP’s (Health and Social Care Partnership) Staff Awards for Excellence 2022 took place as a virtual event this year on 26 October. The Awards recognise and celebrate individual staff, teams and projects who have ‘gone the extra mile’ in their work in a number of categories.
Both Health and Social Work staff working within our HSCP, whether in a frontline or business support role, were eligible to be nominated. There was also an awards category for volunteers, and individuals outwith the HSCP could be nominated.
Working with the Mental Health Network
The Mental Health Network (Greater Glasgow) is a network of people and carers with a lived experience of mental health issues. The organisation works in partnership with Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCP) as part of a commissioned contract within the geographical area of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC).
Glasgow City HSCP works closely with the Mental Health Network to engage with service users in both our Mental Health Inpatient settings and Community Mental Health Teams.
Short Film Shows the Importance of Early and Effective Intervention
A short film has been launched to explain the work of the Early and Effective Intervention (EEI) Team that helps young people in Glasgow who have been involved in offending behaviour to get back on track.
EEI is a multi-agency team that works in partnership with our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), Glasgow City Council and Police Scotland.
New Animation Helps Women Consider Postnatal Contraception
A short animation encouraging women to think about postnatal contraception was launched recently by Women's Health Minister, Maree Todd MSP.
Glasgow City HSCP Staff Win National UK Public Health Award
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Health Improvement team has won the award for ‘Digital Initiative’ as part of this year’s UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) Awards.
UKPHR is an independent, dedicated regulator for public health professionals in the United Kingdom, providing professional regulation to public health specialists, specialty registrars and practitioners from a variety of backgrounds, all of whom have a common core of knowledge and skills.

Family Nurse Partnership Celebrates 10-year Anniversary
The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary and marking the occasion by bringing staff and clients together to recognise their decade-long achievements.
The FNP is a person-centred, preventative intervention programme offered to young first-time parents aged 19 or under, and their children. The programme is evidence based and is delivered in the parents’ own homes. It’s designed to cover the first crucial 1,001 days of life, from early pregnancy until the child reaches the age of two years old.
Glasgow's cared for children to share £2.6m before Christmas
£2.6m will be shared among 6,500 vulnerable children and families in time for Christmas.
On Wednesday 30 November, the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board approved recommendations to fund the one-off £400 winter payment to looked after children.
Foster Carers will also receive an increase of £15 per week starting from January 2023.
Councillors carry naloxone kits to help save lives
Glasgow councillors are being trained to use Naloxone - a drug which can help prevent fatal overdoses.
